On July 28th, 2015, Wan Gang, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC and minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China, visited Gemini together with Ba Teer, the chairman of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region,  Wang Zhonghe, the secretary of Baotou City Municipal Party Committee, Bai Xiangqun, the vice chairman of the Autonomous Region and some other local leaders.
